I'm weird because...
In the winter I can't sleep under the comforter because I get night sweats.
I love being dirty.
I eat chips and salsa as a meal fairly often.
I would rather mow the lawn than do laundry.
I mow the lawn in shorts and my yellow rain boots.
I laugh hard at things I see on tv...almost to the point of crying.
I lean forward in the car when I drive, and don't rest my back against the seat.
I get claustrophobic while cuddling with my husband.
I hate to use lotion even though it makes my skin feel good.
When I brush my teeth I always have toothpaste all over my mouth and chin.
I do not like to wear any jewelry except my wedding ring.
Every night after cuddling with Joel in bed I roll over to my left side to go to sleep and I burp...I can't help it!
I love to be bare foot whenever possible.
I am super organized at work, but not at all at home. (drives Joel crazy!)
I do not like commercials that ask you to help injured animals.
Germs don't bother me at all.
I'm a bad friend because...
It takes me several days to check my voicemails and call people back.
I am always the last to check my schedule to see if a hang-out date works.
I am late to everything.
I have gotten caught up in the gossip trap before disguising it as concern.
I'm a good friend because...(I asked a friend to help me with this because I didn't feel like I should be the one to say!)
Very sensitive.
Compassionate to others.
Fun to be around.
Encouraging to my friends.
I'm sad because...
The world now is a tough place to raise level-headed kids.
My side of the family (Lamberts) lives 30 minutes away. I wish they lived 1 mile away!
All kids do not have good parents and home life.
I'm happy because...
I let things roll off my back and don't take life too seriously
Parker sleeps through the night!
I am back to running again.
My parents gave me the gift of confidence.
I am so content with my life right now..
I'm excited for...
Spring Break with good friends.
Turning 30 years old this year.
Hopefully having a daughter some day.
Summer. Warm Weather. Playing outside.

Pure joy...
Parker brings so much joy to our lives, and as I think about his future I think about all of the people that will see his smile and spend time with him, and I hope that he inspires others to be great, that he makes others laugh and that he will show the love of Christ through his actions and words to all he meets!
I know he has already done those things for us! Love him!

Sleepy Head...
Due to teething, Parker's sleeping hasn't been as restful as normal. This particular day he fell into a deep sleep with his burp rag over his face and was able to have a solid 2 hours of sleep.

We were bitten by a bug...
Unfortunately during Valentine's week we were not bitten by the Love bug...instead we were bitten by the Flu bug! I was the first one to get sick and by the end of the week Joel was sick, and it was questionable if Parker was feeling a little under the weather as well. When I was sick Joel and my mom were so fabulous with helping out with Parker because I was completely out of commission. Sadly, by the end of the week, though, my mom was sick too...I felt so terrible! We are all feeling better now, and I guess if anything good came out of it all we are now feeling very thankful for good health!

Parker's got skills...
I am constantly surprised at how quickly Parker is learning new things. I feel like I don't even get a chance to get used to what he learned last week, and then he is on to learning something new! My baby is growing so fast!
The past 2 weeks Parker has majorly improved in his ability to pull himself up on furniture and stand up holding on to something. He loves to stand on the armchair in the living room and peek over the back. He also has started holding on to our hands and walking around. It is so funny because he over exaggerates every step...lifting his legs much higher than necessary...almost like he's marching! (9 1/2 months)
Other things Parker has been up to...
Parker has grown more curious with the back slider door. He enjoys pounding on the window and looking outside at squirrels. There are constantly hand prints all over the window, but I never clean it because I think they are so cute! (9 months)
Parker is climbing stairs! We don't have any stairs at our house to practice on, but when we go to Grandpa and Grandma Nagelkirk's house he gets some practice. He climbed the whole set of stairs last week! (9 1/2 months)
He loves to hit balls around the house. He will literally hit the ball throughout the whole house almost like he is dribbling a soccer ball. (9 months)
We are hoping some new teeth are on their way soon because Parker has been a little out of character lately...waking up crying in the middle of the night, refusing to eat a bottle at times and crying hysterically when I put him down for a nap. I miss my Parker. I am hoping some teeth pop through soon so he can feel better quickly. In the meantime he chews on a wooden spoon to help ease the pain. (9 1/2 months)
Parker's baseball bat and Xylophone stick are the toys of choice lately. Parker likes to crawl around with them, and hear the noises they make when hitting the wood floor...future drummer?!
(9 months)
