Biking course...

Joel and Parker are two peas in a pod.  They built this bike course complete with ramps so they can ride thru the garage, on the front porch and around to the back porch.  Parker did not want to stop...he loved it!  Mommy even gave it a little try just to humor the boys.  I think it was a little scarier for me than Parks because I have much farther to fall!

From the Lips of Babes...

This week Parker said two things that were noteworthy...one sweet and one that had Joel and I cracking up!

Sweet:

While driving to play group, Parker and I were commenting on some ducks we saw along the side of the road.  Parker then looks over at Peyton and says, "Can you see the ducks Peyton?  If you can't see them we can switch seats and you can come sit in my seat so you can see them!"

Crack up:

While driving home from my parent's house, Parker got very thirsty while eating animal crackers (I know the feeling) so we decided to drive through McDonalds (or as Parker says "Old McDonalds") to get a water.  Joel and I discussed in quieter voices that we would get a shake to share and tell Parker it was a water.  While Joel was ordering he says, "We will take a large water and a medium chocolate shake."  Parker immediately says, "I want a medium chocolate shake!"  Joel and I were laughing so hard...what can you say to that?! Then when we got the shake we realized they are now served in clear containers...so, we shared with Parker...if you can call him drinking the majority of it sharing!

Apple pickin'...

The beautiful Fall weather led us to Cranes with the Metzgers to pick us some delicious apples!  Now that we have 3 apple pickers in our family, we quickly had more than enough apples!  A visit to Cranes would not be complete without partaking in some country cookin'...unfortunately their restaurant was infested with too many people (long wait!) and lots of fruit flies!  

Mommy's little cook...

I always thought it would be fun to bake and cook with my children, but Parker has never really showed any interest until today.  He helped me make a whole "Breakfast Dinner" complete with making pancakes, bacon and eggs (he even cracked them!).  It was really a special time for me as he learned how to make it all!

Segways...

For our anniversaries this year, Dad and Mom got us all an hour long Segway tour of downtown Grand Rapids.  We decided it would be the most fun if we all went together and we were right!  Our fearless tour guide, Michael, was quite the character with his sunscreened self and planned script...he was unable to divert from it!  Josh of course had a TON of questions for him about buying Segways!  It was a really fun way to see GR!

7 months...

Our little gal is sitting up almost 90% of her awake time now!  I am worried that she won't ever crawl though because she is never on her stomach any more!  Parker loves playing with her even more now that they can look each other in the eye.  We are starting to experience a little bit of sharing issues now that Peyton can grab at more toys though...Parker is learning that we share and that all the toys are both of theirs!

Peyton started eating puffs this month and right at her 7 month birthday she was able to put them in her mouth all by herself!  She also has learned to clap and is "dancing" to the music when she hears it.  She definitely knows her name too and loves to smile at anyone who is saying her name!  I am quickly realizing that I have to leave Peyton home when I go grocery shopping though because so many people love to fuss with her...it makes a quick trip to Meijer become a long one!

It is obvious that being a mom to two kiddos means not as many pictures!  I was struggling this month!

Mini Photo Session...

Peyton just looked too adorable today to not get some pictures...mini photo session during Parker's nap!  Those eyes get me every time!

Bathing Beauties...

Parks and Peyton are finally to the point where they can bathe together!  Peyton loves it but Parker is still unsure about bathing in general...I guess Peyton makes it a little more fun for him!
