Little Sleepy Head...

Parker is starting to drop his afternoon nap, but once in a while he just needs one...today is that day! I love seeing him so peaceful!  This particular nap made me laugh as he was strategically positioned next to his favorite book.  He has it by his side all the time!

Daddy's Lego Creations...

I am the most unimaginative player with the kids.  I love playing games, doing puzzles, going new places, but building things is not my strength.  Luckily, Joel rocks at making fun things for the kids to play with and encourages them to think outside the box and teaches them to be creative!  Here is an example...I mean, really?!?!  This rocks!

Trick or Treat...

Halloween was a fun time this year! We went trick or treating downtown Holland on the weekend and then to Marble Grandma and Grandpa's church on Halloween where we scored a lot of candy!  Parker loved being a pirate and wanted to wear his costume to bed leading up to Halloween where as Peyton cried every time we put her outfit on and she refused to put the hood on!

Some new things...

Parks and Pey are constantly learning new things.  Recently it has been navigating the ipad for Parker (he actually can do everything and he explains to Peyton what he is doing) and coloring and reading books for Peyton.  I love watching them as they explore new things.  Pey will sit for 30 minutes looking at books.

Teusinks Pony Farm Field Trip...

Parker had his first off-site field trip today and I got to go along.  Just on the edge of Holland nestled back in the woods is Teusink's Pony Farm.  The kids got to feed the animals, see some birds, pet baby animals, ride a pony and go for a hay ride.  

Parker didn't like the pony ride...only made it one time around on Derby and the free roaming cat was a concern as well, but he loved the hay ride and spending time with his classmates.

Is it really the end of September?!?

We have had some absolutely amazing Fall weather the past few weeks.  Today we spent most of the day outside...bike ride, football game, washing the van, Crane's apple orchard/picnic and even ended the night with running through the sprinklers!
