High Five for the Birthday Boy...

The moment Parker has been waiting for is here...he is five years old!  This is the most excited he has ever been for a birthday.  I think he actually understands what a birthday is now...that he is getting older, that he gets gifts, and that all of the attention is on him for the day (favorite foods, snacks, brownies)!  He doesn't like too much attention though and didn't want to have a big party with aunts, uncles and cousins.  He asked to just have a party with all of his grandparents...such a sweetie!  He loved having Grandma Nagelkirk, Marble Grandpa and Grandma and even Tractor Grandpa and Grandma over to celebrate him!  He got a trampoline( combined gift for all of the kids for all of their birthdays(, a Scooter, a Paw Patrol helicopter and a book.  He LOVED it all!  Such a fun day celebrating our kind, thoughtful, compassionate, sensitive, funny, smart and friendly little guy.

Sawyer doesn't like to have books read to him but he is starting to like looking at books himself...really cute!

We love Spring...I think I emphasize that every year!

This Winter was not terrible, but anyone with kids is excited when Spring is here!  It always feels good to stretch your limbs after a long Winter, run like the wind outside, play in the grass and unveil all of your favorite outdoor toys all over again!  The weather has been beautiful and the fresh air is invigorating...parks, swings, backyards, water table, hoses, sprinklers, tramps and bikes!  Spring is finally here and we are loving every minute of it!

It is so fun that Sawyer is walking so he can actually enjoy playing outside this year!  He just loves it!  He literally goes to the door first thing in the mornings asking to go out!  He is such a good little guy that he doesn't even wander...I just let him play outside by himself!
