Channel Park...

Days before we were planning on leaving for a long weekend of camping in Muskegon we still had no camper!  After a Craig's List search and an incredibly lucky find we were all set with a pop up camper that was being delivered and set up for $125!!!!

The weekend was perfect...cool nights and mornings, 70 degree afternoons, great food, lots of play time with cousins, relaxing campfires, a toasty camper, Parker slept great, beautiful water/channel and good company.  The only downfall I can think of is a slight ant infestation in our camper!  Good thing we brought an extra roll of paper towel because I was killing ants left and right!

Notice they have the EXACT same expression.

His pac n' play was set up on the bed...his head came close to the top of the camper which made it a little challenging to get him out but worth it to not have it set up on the floor.

Parker was in a constant state of dirtiness during the weekend and he loved every minute of it!

MVP Swim Champ...

We ended up spending a lot of time at the pool this summer since it was 90 degrees for over a month!  The Zero Entry pool at MVP was perfect for Parker to experiment with the different depths of water.  The snack bar was perfect for mommy to get a smoothie every day!  By the end of the summer Parks felt comfortable to wade in on his own...pretty deep sometimes even!  He had a lot of fun with the sprayers as well...he would love to step on them and watch the water disappear and run past them with his hand out to touch the water.

Day away at Big Star...

Sobels nicely invite us all up to their cottage every year.  This year we left Parker behind with Grandpa and Grandma Lambert and headed up for a relaxing day lounging in the water and enjoying yummy food over the campfire and great conversation with awesome friends.
