Nagelkirk's Zeeland Christmas (Part 2)...

Kuipers are always up for heading out on Zeeland adventures with us and this week we headed downtown Zeeland for reindeer, Santa Claus (neither one of the boys seemed interested in him), horse/buggy rides, free popcorn and a train show!  It is so fun to see Parks and Owen run around with each other!

Critter Barn hosted a free Nativity Scene and exploration for the kids this Christmas Season.  I had never been there before and was really impressed with all of the animals they had and how interactive it was for the kids.  Parker was less scared than normal with the animals besides when the bunny tried to jump off his platform on him!  Joel and I were entertained by the pooping sheep at the Nativity Scene!  We were also given a personal tour of the egg laying chickens and even got to take some eggs home...we still have not eaten them...it kinda grosses me out since I saw the chickens!

ZCS Boy's Basketball...

At the end of this season Joel is finally able to let the "We Are The Champions" anthem play!  After a great season (11-1) they were League Champions and then took 1st place in the Championship Tournament!  The past four season's of coaching, Joel's teams have been League Champs but have never been able to secure that final tournament Championship so this was a huge celebration for the team and Joel!  The team consisted of a great group of boys that Joel truly enjoyed coaching.  It was really fun to see them improve throughout the season and we are looking forward to being able to see a lot of them play in high school as well.

As always, Parker and I attended most games...Parker is now more into dribbling a basketball than watching the games but it was still really fun!  At the end of every game he got to go into the locker room with the team and put his hand in the huddle...so cute!

The highlight of the year for me was watching Brady and Chad, both boys with special needs, have opportunities to play in a few games and actually score.  The team was amazing at setting them up to get good shots and the crowd celebrated like we had just won the Championship ever time they scored!

Mild Fall...

Winter does not want to show itself this year and we are okay with that!  We continue to play outside as often as possible.  We are hoping there is some snow for Christmas though!
