Bike Riding...

Parker learned to ride a 2 wheeler at the beginning of the summer and has been getting better and better with every day.  He flies up and down the street now and loves to go fast!  He has a ton of confidence...it makes Joel and I a little nervous how sharply he turns!  He is loving the freedom and learning new big boy things.

HOH Race...

Today was the day of the Heights of Hope Race.  We all picked out our costumes, instruments and squirt gun of choice and spent the night cheering for the runners!  The kids had so much fun being loud and encouraging the runners.   Heights of Hope does such a great job promoting community and having a good time.  I am so glad our family can be a part of their fun event and our kids can enjoy serving others so much!

6 months...

Sawyer is 6 months old and we are loving the giggly, sweet, content little boy he is.  It feels like every day something new is happening and he is growing up so fast before our very eyes.

What is he up to at his 1/2 birthday?!?

-Sitting up on his own.  He falls over a lot still (and I cringe every time his little head hits to floor!) but he doesn't seem to mind.  He loves being on his tummy too.

-Jumping like crazy in his activity bouncer.

-Getting his 3rd, 4th and almost 5th teeth and drooling everywhere!  We had to buy some more cute bandana bibs for him so we don't have to change his shirt 4 times a day.

-Crawling (sort of)...it is more of a get on all fours and rock back and forth and then fall forward.  He can roll around though and spin on his tummy to get where he wants to though.  It is time to hide the little Legos!

-Having a hard time falling asleep because he is so excited he can move around so much and maybe because of some tooth pain.  He loves to grab the side of the crib bumper and look out into the room.

-Eating baby food 1-2 times a day.  He doesn't really like eating, but we are working on it!

-He continues to love riding in the Chariot and falls asleep almost immediately every time he rides in it.

-Transitioning from 3 naps to 2 naps.

-Best buddies with Parks and Pey.  They just adore him...still a little too rough sometimes though!

-Quite the splasher during bath time.  We had to move him outside because he was flooding the kitchen!  Next move will be to the bathtub!

-Sawyer's blocked tear duct finally cleared up after 6 long months!  We are glad the crusty stuff is gone!

The days of July....

July has been such a beautiful month. Low humidity, sunny, cool nights and no rain! We have loved playing outside, spending lots of time with friends at play dates, eating dinner late so the kids can keep playing, late bedtimes, biking around town and eating lots of ice cream!

I am not a baker, but today my cute helpers and I made some delicious cookies!

These 3 are inseparable!

I think it is safe to say that Peyton loves ice cream treats!

The kids (I mean "me") did such a great job reading and completing their Summer Reading Charts from the library.  We loved all of the fun and tasty prizes!

The Three Amigos!

We have stepped it up a notch with the pool by placing it under the slide!  Lots of fun to be had!

A super hero has been spotted at our house and he is eating our snacks!

Water Festival...

Lately there has been so many fun things to do with the kids.  Today we participated in the Water Festival at Windmill Island.  We had so much fun learning about water and seeing all of the fun booths they had set up!  The highlights were Parker winning his safari hat and catching a fish (which they "fillet" for you so you could take it home.  By fillet they mean cutting the head off and taking the guts out.  Our fish were still moving after that...gross!  We left them in the cooler and "forgot" to take them home!).
