If you asked me I would tell you that I love the month of June because it marks the beginning of summer! Joel is home all of the time, we get to go for bike rides on week days, to Captain Sundae for ice cream several nights and be together as a family.
If you asked me I would tell you that I am really loving Peanut Butter Captain Crunch right now. I pour a little into a full bowl of milk. Once it is gone I pour more in. That way it is always crunchy! This method does make portion control difficult to gauge though!
If you asked me I would say I am more in love with Joel now than I ever have been. I watch him almost every night (he is kinda a Parker hog!) read books to Parker, pray with him and tuck him into bed. Without fail when he comes out he is always overwhelmed with how much he loves him.
If you asked me I would say I am super stoked to get my own Mac computer and a photo shop program! I have been dropping subtle hints that I NEED one for quite some time. I think Joel got sick of me asking so he caved! Waaahooooo!
If you asked me about the weather here in Michigan I would say it is crazy! The weekend was 90 degrees and now only a few days later we are snuggled up inside with the heat on and sweatshirts!
If you asked me I would tell you I am grateful.
Grateful for my life.
Just one life to live and this one I have been given is a blessing.

Tears of joy...
It is 1:30pm on Tuesday, May 29. Parker is down for a nap and I just ate tacos for lunch. The sun is shining outside, and the breeze is blowing in through the front door. Only moments ago this was just any normal day. After a comment from Joel last night stating that I have been hungry a lot and he thinks I am pregnant I just took a pregnancy test and it said I am pregnant!!! I immediately tried to call Joel at school...I don't really want to tell him over the phone, but I needed to share this news with my best friend and partner in crime! I am just sitting here staring at this dollar store pregnancy test. Are these things accurate? Is anything you can buy for $1 reliable? Why do they make the 2nd line so faint? Why can't it be the same darkness as the first line? These things frustrate me. This little stick is telling me that our lives are about to change with a little blessing...can't it tell me more certainly? The tears just keep streaming down my face...the joy I am feeling is just overwhelming me! There has been some fabulous celebrations of life lately with friends, but there have also been some devastating losses and I am already starting to wrap this little one in prayer! I can't wait for Parker to wake up! I just don't want to be alone right now. I want to squeeze him and kiss him and play with him until Joel gets home. Thank you God for this blessing!
What does this test say to you? Do you see the faint second line? Is it a figment of my imagination?

John Ball Zoo...
Since we missed the Father's Day celebration with my family we met up at the zoo for an afternoon of animal extravaganza when we got back from the cottage! We started out with lunch at the picnic area where we shared in my dad's Father's Day card that we are expecting another little peanut! My dad breezed right over it in the card and we had to ask him to re-read it! Josh immediately spotted it over dad's shoulder! It feels so good to have all of our family now know. Due to not feeling great it is hard to act like everything is fine when we see people.
We were all really impressed with how great he zoo was! It definitely seems like it has improved over the years. Parks loved being there with his cousins and seeing animals he has never seen before. The animals were a little rowdy on this hot summer day! The whole day wore Parker right out!

Little Cottage on Big Star Lake...
Another wonderful year at the cottage! This year we started out a little unsure if we would even be able to make it because of Parker's Hand, Foot and Mouth. Luckily Kim was gracious enough to let us have the small cottage this year so we could keep Parker quarantined! Parker started feeling like his normal self in no time at all and the weather was fabulous...only a little rain.
We enjoyed...
-Lots of naps
-Campfires and campfire chats and laughter
-Fabulous spreads of food
-Boat rides
-Seeing all of the cousins enjoy playing together
-Frogs
-Big fish swimming in the swimming area
-Time with extended family
-Announcing our pregnancy to the family
-S'mores
-NBA Finals
-Giving bathes to Parker outside in a tub
-Sandcastles
