Over Labor Day weekend we realized that you don't have to go far from home to be on a fun and relaxing vacation. We stayed at the Holland State Park for four days with the Kuipers and Gritters (they came up and visited for two days), and had so much fun relaxing and enjoying the beautiful lake. The water was unusually warm for this time of year so we were able to swim and hang out there every day. Owen and Parker had so much fun playing at the campsites in the dirt every day, and it was really nice that the playground was only a few sites away from us.
The adults enjoyed the close proximity to The General Store which was very convenient to walk to and get some ice cream! Campfires every night, good laughs and conversation, time to unwind from the already busy start to Joel's school year and it didn't hurt that Josh hooked us up with an amazing 30 foot camper! We were experiencing camping at its best!
Praise Babies every morning allowed daddy and mommy 30 more minutes of sleep.
The lawn mower was the hit toy of the weekend!
I think the grown boys enjoyed the sand fun more than the little boys!
Packing up and heading home...daddy's little helper!
