This month Parker has stepped out as a singing machine! He has always loved hearing us sing to him before he goes to bed, in the car and while we play during the day, but lately he has been joining in! He now knows so many songs and sings along with us which is probably the most adorable thing ever in my eyes! The ABC's is his definite favorite though. He skips a few letters (E-K) in the middle but is getting better ever day. He also is counting a lot too. He can count 1-10 with ease and knows half of the numbers from 11-20.
Not only is he singing and counting a lot but also his dancing skills are improving and expanding! More and more he asks us to turn the radio on so we can all dance. He spins around, shakes his hips, waves his arms in the air and even tries to spin on his back on the floor! When I watch him I am mentally fast forwarding time in my head and I am seeing him at his high school dances strutting his stuff!

Girl's basketball 2013...
Joel and I went back and forth for some time about if Joel should coach the girl's team this year due to the arrival of our baby in the middle of the season. Since Joel taught these girls every year throughout middle school he really wanted to coach them so we went for it and decided to figure it out along the way! Everything ended up working out perfectly, but I am definitely now enjoying the fact that Joel no longer has practice and games every night!
The team had a great season despite a few key players being injured. They ended up winning their final tournament game which made the season end on a high note for everyone!
Parker loves nothing more than dribbling the ball on the court during half time. His dribbling has improved a lot lately. He now can run while dribbling and dribble up to 12 times in a row! It is funny to hear everyone in the bleachers ohhh and ahhh at his skills! He just looks so cute out there! There are a lot of pics...I just couldn't choose!

Our friend Frosty...
Joel and Parker made their first snowman of the year! Frosty graced our front yard for quite some time...he did not look his best the whole time though. He first lost his head when Joel threw a snow ball at it. Next, part of the body melted on a hot day. Then the arms were severed... Parker pulled them out and started hitting Frosty with them. Then slowly the rest of him melted. Every time we pulled out of the driveway Parker would say "goodbye" to him and when we returned he would say "hello".
Newborn pics...
A friend let me know that a local photographer was looking for a newborn girl to take pictures of to increase her portfolio...the best part...it's FREE! Sounds good, right? WRONG!! After driving out to her remote house in Fennville (kinda desolate and creepy!) she answers the door and is not overly friendly. I have to ask if I am even at the right house because she is not acting like she knows who I am! The next hour and a half consists of me carrying most of the conversation and constantly asking what she wants me to do...you would think since she is the photographer she would be telling me what to do!
Peyton was not liking having her clothes off AT ALL! She proceeded to cry hysterically for the majority of the time...which is not great for newborn pictures! I think the photographer was thinking a sleeping baby would have been better! In an attempt to calm Peyton down I fed her. It had only been an hour since I had fed her previously so she didn't eat a lot but it calmed her down enough that I could lay her down on the cloth backdrop that the photographer had set up and she was able to snap a few pictures before Peyton decided to projectile vomit all over the photographer and her white cloth back drop and set up! I was speechless and kept apologizing profusely! So embarrassing! After the vomiting we were able to get a few pictures...I wasn't impressed with the photographers skills or props. She said she had a lot of cute girl props she wanted to try...I guess I learned the lesson that everyone has their own definition of "cute". I think Peyton knew some of the props were not cute because she would cry whenever the lady tried to put the not cute ones on her!
Here are the few...some cute...some look a little awkward but funny!
