Here is a snippet of an afternoon in Parker's life at 10 months...
Crawls. Crawls faster. Sits up on butt. Grabs a ball. Throws the ball. Chases after the ball throughout the house. Realizes the dishwasher is open. Tries to climb on the door and grab the knives. Sees the shoes at the back door. Eats shoestrings and licks the bottom of the shoes for a while. Crawls. Crawls. Crawls too fast so he bites it on his face. It doesn't seem to bother him, but he looks at me wondering if he should cry. Smiles at me when I smile at him. Starts spinning on his stomach on the wood floor. Laughs. Finds paci on the floor. Puts it in his mouth. Starts pushing tractor around smiling. Whines at my feet when he sees me making a bottle. Gives me open-mouth kisses when I pick him up. Drops paci out of mouth anticipating the bottle. Eats a bottle while stroking the sleeve of my shirt. Reads Barnyard Dance with me and claps his hands at the appropriate times. Takes a 2 hour nap.
Parker has outgrown his winter coat and hat already so we moved on to this stripped hat, and I picked up a sweatshirt and fleece coat from Bumblebeas to get us through the rest of the winter!
Parker got some new kicks! A bit of a splurge, but they were too cute to pass up!
Such a lovely winter we are having this year...very mild! The Chariot is proving to be a great purchase even in the winter...we've been bundling Parker up and putting the plastic cover down...Parker is a happy little guy in his warm ride while daddy and mommy go for a run! Sometimes Joel puts a Nalgene in there with hot water to make it a little warmer too!
Parker has learned to feed himself...if we load up the fork, and put it in his hand, he puts it to his mouth and eats the food off of it! He is very proud of this new accomplishment! We cheer every time he does it, which adds to his excitement!
Parker loves when his friend, Alison, comes over to play! She cuddles him and reads him books!
Parker loves to pull himself up on the ledge of the front window. We stack blocks and animals up there for him to play with. He likes clearing all the toys off onto the floor. I always wonder what our neighbors across the street think as they see this little head pop up and down!
Crawling and walking behind the tractor is about 1 minute of entertainment to Parker because once he hits a wall he doesn't know how to turn it around and keep pushing! Hopefully he will figure it out soon so the fun can last longer. We have learned the hard way that tractor rides can not happen very often because Parker is "Crabby Patty" after the ride is over because he wants to keep going!
