2 months...

5 weeks...started Peyton solely on formula (I am done pumping!!!) and on a strict 3 hour daily schedule (eat/diaper change/wake for 1 1/2 hours then 1 1/2 hours of sleep).  So far the combination of these two things have been promising!  We have seen a little less fussiness while she eats and a little bit of weight gain which will hopefully produce a more happy baby!

5 weeks...started cooing and smiling at us!  It is so amazing that at such a young age they can intentionally smile (she has smiled before this but I think it was gas!).  Being able to engage more with her and see some of her personality budding has made our love for her grow stronger already!

5 weeks...started to follow objects that we hold in front of her and likes to hear us sing and read books to her and show her the pictures.

5 weeks...Peyton's head control has really improved.  When we hold her she easily lifts up her head and looks around.  Look out though because you never know when it is going to crash down...we have had a few close calls with head bashing!

5 weeks...1st date with Brooks!  He was totally checking her out!  Ha!

6 weeks...showing signs of sleeping longer at night.  Peyton slept 6 consecutive hours for two nights this week!  Hoping that this is not a fluke!

6 weeks...had two terribly colicky evenings this week...doesn't seem like we are going to be able to shake this any time soon...boo!

6 weeks...started giving Peyton formula for fussy babies who have a lot of gas!  In the first 24 hours we already saw a much happier and content little one!

7 weeks...first time wearing a normal outfit...not pajamas!  She looked so adorable on Easter!  I think I might have a problem with buying girl clothes...there are so many option I just can't choose!

7 weeks...first sleep over!!!!  Grandpa and Grandma Lambert (or Marbles as Parker refers to them because of the marble game they have...Grandma doesn't care for that name!) were gracious (and brave) enough to offer to take the kids over night while Joel and I headed to Chicago over Spring Break.  Sounds like everything went pretty well!

8 weeks...1st ride in the Chariot (walk) and first walk for that matter!  Spring is finally showing it's face a little and Peyton loved basking in the sun while riding in the Chariot!  We had her bundled up like we were expecting a Winter storm...not sure why!  By the end of the walk we were worried she would be sweating!

8 weeks...sleeping on stomach!  I hope people don't judge me, but there comes a time when you just have to decide what is best for your family and since she sleeps so much better when she is on her stomach sleeping on one of us we just decided it was time.  I had read some tutorials on an alarm you can get for under the crib mattress that let's you know if the baby has not been breathing/moving for 20 seconds so we headed to Target and purchased it for our peace of mind!  She has been sleeping so much better since then!  Hoping that continues!

Stats...9 lbs 9ozs...finally reached Parker's birth weight!  She is only in the 8% for weight...such a peanut!  22 1/2 inches (45%)
