Boy bond...

At the young age of 8 months I am already able to see the fascinating bond forming between Joel and Parker.  It is such an amazing thing for me to witness every day!  Through watching Parker and Joel, I am convinced there is a place in a boy's soul that only a father can fill.  The love Joel sheds on Parker, and the time they spend together is creating a bond that will last a lifetime. The way that Joel looks at Parker, the smile that creeps across Parker's face when he sees Joel for the first time after school, the times Joel wants to wake Parker up at 10pm just so he can spend more time with him, the way Joel cuddles Parker before he goes to bed every night, all of the time spent playing rough, teaching him to throw a ball, encouraging him to crawl, reading him Bible stories and parading him around ZCS after school is an investment that can never be taken away.
